I’m about to buy a M16A2 mark H&R lower for my Blood Diamond build and wanted to see if anyone still does the A1 reprofiling. The movie gun used an export M16A2 with a M16A2 marked A1 lower. I remember a guy here years ago that did awesome work, but I don’t remember who. I would much rather pay to get it done by someone experienced rather than try it myself and ruin my lower. Thanks for any help.

Thank you. That’s who I was thinking of, but couldn’t remember his name.

Does anyone know how to get ahold of Braceman? I can’t seem to find his member page.

He isn't able to work on finished lowers, only 80%s. At least as far as I am aware.

Thank you, I recall people were sending him 80% Nodack lowers. I searched for 80% A1 lowers, but so far I’ve only seen a billet one available. Is there anyone making forged A1 80s anymore?

Some valuable things were lost went Nodak closed and became part of PSA as H&R, such as retro 80% lowers.

Maybe someday H&R will offer them again. I really like all of the Nodak receivers that I own. I guess I’ll just have to get out the dremel and reprofile it myself. I’m a good enough welder to be a pro with a grinder so I should have it covered, lol.
