I've built a couple of clones before but this is my first factory built M16A1 clone. The gray park on the upper and lower are a close match with just enough contrast to give it that air of authenticity. It came with a black safety and dust cover which I swapped out with gray ones. The furniture looked good but I swapped it out with a set of surplus Colt furniture I had squirreled away for just such an occasion.

Took it to the range today and was pleasantly surprised to find the sights dialed in right out of the box. Trigger is very nice, almost like it was tuned up. At any rate it's much lighter than a standard USGI trigger. Small details like the no-tic selector and tear drop forward assist with rounded edges like the originals are a nice touch. Shout out to Mike for making a great product.

All in all this is a nice looking and nice shooting retro M16A1 clone. Thank you Josiah... you and your crew rock!

25 yards. But I was making head shots out to 100 yards.

Great looking build, Good info on the rounded tear drop too. I didn't realize that.

I love the slight mismatch in color.  Mine is the same and I agree that it looks more authentic that way.

Thanks, but this is one of the rare ones I didn't build... it came to me as a complete factory rifle.
