10.5” 5.56 on a BCM Lower. Has one range trip so far. Shooting Hornady Black 62 gr .223. It took a few rounds to start cycling but was running good after a 100. It would only cycle on the 1st position. Went with just an MI folding Stock adapter. I’m curious to see what the PSA Stocks will look like in production and also some feedback on the F whatever ones. The XPS Eotech sits pretty nice with the stock where it is at. I’m thinking an EXPS would be perfect, probably just below a 1.93 mount on an AR. This is the 5th PSA firearm I own, I’m thinking I’m becoming a bit of a PSA fan.

1) Post picture: Above

2) Tell us caliber: 7.62x35mm

3) List any modifications and or add on pieces parts:

Upper: Out of the box + legit HK-416 sights + Expo Arms narrow hand stop + BCM MLOK covers

Lower: LMT w/ proprietary JAKL BHO and end plate + MOE-K grip + MI 1913 folding buffer tube + Norgon Ambi Catch + Expo Arms Ambi Safety. Colt takeoff/ LW Schneider FCG.

4) Give us a review, range report:

First outing:

Ammunition: Ozark Arms, 147 gr FMJ Supersonic.

Flawless performance. Simple zeroing procedure and then just fun plinking for 250+ rounds. Zero malfuntions once the gas was set, and only FTF before it was getting enough (as expected). I like the form factor of the K-grip and the brace is excellent. I am confident in this configuration, and I really LOVE it.

The only problem was with the BCM covers, which blow out 100% of the time when not held in place (i.e. during zero). Those are a NO GO with all the gas inside the receiver.

3) List any modifications and or add on pieces parts:

Upper: Out of the box + TA-01 NSN ACOG + Magpul Aluminum 1913 rail sections +  SF M340 + Trifecta ASR + Saker 556

Lower: LMT w/ proprietary JAKL BHO and end plate + MOE-K grip + SB Tactical floppy doppy triangle brace + Norgon Ambi Catch + Expo Arms Ambi Safety. Colt takeoff/ LW Schneider FCG.

4) Give us a review, range report:

First and Second outings:

Ammunition: Prvi White Box M193, 55 gr

Crappy performance. My thinking was that the standard plug was likely gassed for dumpster "ammunition" and I swapped it for the suppressed plug. No go on cycling the regular M193 on any position, so... good on PSA for not junking out on the port sizes, but I need the ability to run unsuppressed with M193, M855, and normal ammunition. I set gas on Setting "all the way IN, back off one" and zeroed with the Saker. Back in the case.

Back out for round 2 with the standard plug. I was already zeroed, so that was setting me up for an enjoyable experience... I set the gas for unsuppressed on "all the way IN, back off two" and that seemed very smooth and nice. Interestingly, I realized that the LRBHO was consistently holding on the bolt carrier and not the bolt, so it must have had very close to almost-just enough. This had me back off one more to "all the way IN, back off three" or wide open... which is fine, but interesting.

Mounting the Saker, I set gas on "all the way IN, back off one" which was fine. After 100+ rounds though, I started to get FTE, including one that split the case neck on the front of the ejection port (oh, well). I lost confidence and put it back in the case.

Next outing I'll start on that setting to replicate, then go to "all the way IN, back off two" for suppressed.

The 13.7” Rifle arrived today. Fit and finish and overall feel are great.

Folded length compared to some 16” rifles. Each is pretty evenly set on the right side (though the camera angle doesn’t make it appear so).

Decided to cerakote one of my SBR lowers and put a 10.5" 5.56 upper on it. My cerakoter had a 4 hour turn around time, ha. So I just finished building this one.

I think he matched it perfectly!

Just picked her up today. Bought her used, only a slight scratch in the finish. Still waiting on tailcap and tape switch, matching odg 3x magnifier mount and cable management. Will be doing a form 1 on this. Debating on putting a SF 4 prong and running a warden until I can form 4 a RC2.

I am working on some different setups....  I can't decide if I want the ACOG or MRO....

ACOG

MRO
Untitled by sky_soldier_82nd, on Flickr

(Yes I am a bit of a slob....)

The base Pistol is the 10.5 in 5.56.
AAC 3prong flash hider/suppressor mount . With AAC 762-SDN-6  can.
Magpul MOE+ grip. Magpul hand stop kit .
Troy AMBI mag release. STOCK TUBE ADAPTOR PICATINNY
SB3 brace.
AMBI selector switch.
Laser devices OTAL (Now Stiner)
Streamlight HX-L  with an adapter  (adapter for Streamlight ) for a Surefire switch . On a Magpul offset mount .
Has Bravo Company MLOK slot covers .
The ACOG is a TA31 with the red triangle topped with a Trijicon RMR  I forget the exact model right off the top of my head.
The MRO has the 2 MOA dot.

I am waiting on a switch to come in that controls both the light and laser.

(Edited to add detail)

Do have a build list?

This thing is pretty cool. Ended up doing the SBR and justified it by telling myself the 10.5 inch upper was about $200 cheaper than the 14.5 inch upper I originally wanted. The eform took like 20 days. Haven’t been to the range yet but will soon. Need to decide on an optic now.
