I've always used Rig. I was wanting to try and switch to Lubriplate SFL-0, but it has had a recent massive price increase.

Read the specs for Lucas Red N Tacky. On paper it has a better temperature range than Rig or Lubriplate. Googled it and it seems there are people using it for guns.

Besides trigger components I use grease for everything and it's never let me down. Just figured I'd get some last minute opinions on Red N Tacky before I bought a tub. Thanks.

We use it on farm equipment, works well.

I recently switched over to it from gun oil and so far haven’t had any issues.  Put it on a couple pistols and a couple ar’s shooting suppressed 300 blackout.  I don’t have high round counts behind it yet, but so far it’s worked well.

Works well but have not used it below ~30º

I use it for my aks most often. I wouldn't use it on tightly fitting parts traveling at high velocity though.

Redntacky is in my bassboat and camper bearings. This is on my guns for years. Foodsafe, safe to handle. Stays put. Attachment Attached File

I use R&T 2 on AR bolt lugs and shotgun chokes and O/U hinge and locking lugs. BCG and slide surfaces get oil.

Red N Tacky is good grease but Super lube grease has some advantages for gun use.

Its clear non staining.
Food safe non toxic.
No odor.

I use that Redline red racing moly synthetic grease. It’s unbelievable. The synthetic moly seems indestructible. One rifle is still going 5 years with one application and looks brand new and cycles like butter.

One tube will last a lifetime and pretty much eliminates wear from my experience. I used to be a EWL grease guy (still great stuff too).
