Is the Rock River Arms fixed rear sight desirable as an alternative to the LMT?

Not that I'm aware of.
That just looks like a chopped carry handle, an expensive chopped carry handle.

At $230, the L8A fits the same description.

just chop a carry handle... that is what was originally done and you see them in photos if you look close enough.

That's the route I take.

Between $40-$60, sometimes cheaper.

That's exactly what I did with mine. Little homemade touch to it.

I used to have one of the lmt factory chopped rear carry sights. I sold it here for 50$.

If only I had held onto it I’d be set for an OG build.

Hoping to get some help here. I've put a 10.3" CQBR barrel on a 6520 upper and I can't get it to run unsuppressed. What buffer is popular with this setup?
More info here...https://www.ar15.com/forums/armory/Need-Help-with-SBR-Build-Non-Functional/51-549961/

I also have a new Colt M5 CQC upper  assy inbound for another shorty build.

Standard USGI spec is for a H2 buffer.

Pretty interesting that the upper seems to have been a RIS II DD upper that had a rail swap given how the lock up plate is a totally different ano color.

Just saw the mention.
New logo, 3/12/2019 DOM.
I reached out directly to Eotech CS. Luckily, still under warranty. 3 weeks total to get back.

Nice.

Even lighter if you ditch the SOPMOD stock for a CTR or CAR-15
But then it gets heavy once you add on all the accessories.

I'll have to see how balanced my Mod 1 feels once I get the can on it... Might swap back to a SOPMOD stock if it feels a lil too front heavy.

Light is fine.  You're not going to want to remove the suppressor once you realize how much you enjoy shooting it.  I appreciate your darker paint scheme.  Full blown desert isn't always the way for us Midwestern guys lol.

Pic thread, and some days I miss it.

I just rotated it to the 3 o'clock position, no big deal.

I have to share it with my M4A1 Block II clone lol
Although it'll spend WAY more time on this rifle.

Or you might be able to rotate the flash hider /mount (depending upon the style). Mine is a 4 prong SF so rotating was very simple.
