Searching this turns up surprisingly little black and white data...
I think it will based on other threads, but can anyone confirm for sure that a 1.7" mount will be high enough to clear with a 56mm objective on monolithic height pic rail on top of an AR10?
Specifically it is going to be a Razor Gen3 if that matters.

Input on what height you would choose and why is also welcome.

Not sure if it helps, but my AR15 has plenty of clearance with a 50mm objective and a 1.54 optic mount. It has enough clearance that I think a 56mm would work too.

The measured drawings for UTG mounts are useful

You don't even need that much height, unless you just like tall mounts.

A 1.7" mount on a 6-36 scope is a terrible, terrible idea.

Go on....

I have mounts of a couple different heights that I could eyeball it next to and probably get a good idea once the scope gets here, just trying to get it narrowed down a bit.

Looking at a similar diagram of the scope, half of the listed objective bell diameter is 1.28", so it would appear to clear with this mount if the drawings are accurate and there's not something I'm not thinking about.

1.44 with a 5-25x56 NXS has Plenty of clearance.

Not to put words on fingertips, but I think what is being said is 1.7" will be too high, not that it isn't high enough.  A standard scope mount an on AR is high enough.

I use a MI gen 2 mount (1.415”) with a Trijicon 2.5-10x56

My 56mm objective Razor Gen3 has a 2.56" outside diameter.  The math says 1.28" rings could be used, but I'd probably want at least 0.100 to account for flex and stuff under recoil.  A lot of people put scopes on hunting style rifles as low as possible because you can get a good solid cheek weld.  Of course for AR and chassis style rifles with adjustable combs, the scope height doesn't matter as much.

I have it in a LaRue LT745 (1.5" High 20MOA) and there's even enough of room between the scope and the rail for a Vortex Defender flip cap and a ladder rail-cover.

Well I'm the opposite , i wear glasses and I like the 194 mount
i use a PST gen 2 on 308 , my head and neck isn't tilted  so far
forward and more in a upright position , I get better cheek weld
on the stock ,, on another note I just switched out a scope PST G2
on a bull barrel 223 i put together for a pd hunt i got coming up
and went with a Burris pepr mount in 34mm with 20 moa built in
that thing is really low i assumed it would of been like any other AR
mount in the 150 range turns out in 34mm it's a 135 mount had to
use  a .6 riser to achieve the height that i was comfortable turns out
to be around a 170 mount aera . I would go a little high on any mount
compared to being to low to start with .

Thanks guys.
Seems objective clearance isn't nearly as much an issue as I first thought.
Now to decide on 20moa or not...

This is my reference point. I have a few X56 Trijicons and I’ve had zero issues mounting them in any common “standard” (1.5”ish) height mount. It usually clears by a good couple mm.
