View Quote NGL, kiiinda wanna get an ACOG and finally cut my 16 back to 15.1-inches. Maybe an ECOS? I have zero experience behind an ACOG tho but I feel like I should have one in the lineup, IDK. |

I wanna try one but don't wanna spend the money to find out I hate it. Probably just scoop another NX8. |

Got one this year. Clarity was amazing but it was so different and so annoying compared to what I was used to I sold it in a month. LPVO tech, to me, is better. PLUS in my case I have more than a decade behind one, so it's natural, where the ACOG was totally different way of doing things. |

4th 11.3"/Medium RAS is about to go down
Sub $500 MR Optic shoot out. Gotta be daylight bright red dot. What's the go to? I've always loved the Steiner. Thinking of the pst 1-6 as the reticle is better than the P3TR. Am I missing anything else in this price point. I don't wanna drop NX8 money on an optic this time. |

View Quote Just avoid whatever that insane new reticle is. It's as if Steiner let a 14YO develop a reticle. ETA took the newest mini out this evening to sight in the scope and laser. Had a gd squib, thankfully it barely kissed the rifling before coming to a stop. Sigh. Attached File |

The Nova glass, while not bad for the price, is nowhere near the Steiner or Vortex. It does give you the extra 2x magnification of the PST with weight similar to the Steiner, but the optical quality isn’t close. I’d trade my PST for another Steiner. The PST is just long, (relatively) heavy and the zoom ring is ridiculously tight. That said, I wouldn’t pay >$600 for a P4Xi. At that point I’d be looking at the Stryker. |

View Quote Yea while I've had a few p4xi's over the years I currently do not have one. I did get one and put it on my dad's recce. I might go snag it and take it to the range and give it another go. The only thing that's making me look at the pst is the mil based reticle. It lets me have holds for further vs the bdc lines on the p4xi. |

View Quote Give the leupold MK3HD a try. It’s a 1.5-4x and the dot is daylight bright in all but the brightest environments. I have no problem picking up the dot in noon sun here in Texas during the summer. It’s a nice small package also. |

Hopefully go shoot it over the holiday week. I wanna try out a 1.93" Larue since it's not a prone rifle and I did really like 1.93 for a red dot. |
