Interesting pictures. In that top picture, the bottom rifle has a Mk5HD 3.6-18 on it. But did someone really throw a NF 7-35 on that bottom rifle?

Picked up a mod h the other day from a guy locally. Happy to have one again. In the process of changing little ocd stuff like the OCL collar and what not. Changed the colt lower for a h&r m16 lower that’s been sitting around. I do enjoy my nx8 so had to do a little of my own work on the top rail to have it fit with A107 rings and the pvs30. I time I’ll track down some more correct parts in time.

Ran the Mod H on the clock for the first time in the day at a 2 gun match yesterday. You can see where 1-X LPVOs and/or MPVOs with a 45deg RDS are superior in the 3-300m fight as the RDS on top of the optic gives an atrocious height over bore. That cost me a couple no shoot penalties as we had a few target arrays with a no-shoot stapled to a shoot target with only ~3” of target showing at various ranges, as seen in the last photo. I used the scope at 2.5x for those, but some that were 3-25yds away were in RDS territory and knowing exactly where to hold the dot to not hit low, but not send the rounds over the target, is something I’ll need to work on if I’m going to use this in a match again.

Ended up 13th out of 51 shooters, with a 6th and 9th place finish on a couple stages.

What is the battery holder on the pvs? Can I send you a recce rail for the same treatment?

A107s came in today. So I’m calling it complete for now, minus a BT10 bipod.

Question, what scope caps are y’all using for your Mk4 3.5-10x40s?

I know the turrets and roll marks are wrong, I may track down a correct set of receivers, and maybe swap the scope if I find one that isn’t $1500. After I get some scope caps, I’ll spray it and hopefully find time to shoot it.

I’ve never messed with clip on NV. How does the PVS-30 lock on to the rail with the pic slots milled off?

Its just a normal qd pic rail attachment.  It doesn't touch the recce rail, those slots are milled off so it and the optic will clear

New scope for the mod-h arrived. Figured army inspired optic for an army gun makes sense. Ordered a new upper ring cause that abortion of the contract diving board needs to go in the trash

Have a hydramatic lower on the way before it chances getting paint. Also need to find a peq2 or peq15.

Will say on this contract scope that the army not wanting to pay for a reticle and making their own made for an interesting one.

I think the Mod-H may make it out from the back of the safe now that I finally got the suppressor. Shoutout to trajectory arms for making what I always wanted, aem5/Ops 12th form factor with a hole for 30cal bullets.

Well i think the mod H is finally where I’m gonna stay at, started with the NGAL but that deserves a different rifle and honestly the NGAL illuminator is not as focusable for when using a clip on at range.

Took it up north to my cabin this weekend for a “work” trip and some testing. PEQ2 showed up in the mail so that’s what went. Got hits with the MK12 out to 1000 yards.

Got home and peq15 showed up in the mail and the Koeng top rail mount to switch out with the contract diving board, so this is definitely gonna be the final setup.

Side note this thing was cool to send heavy things down range

I got off work, got into some bourbon and did the thing. Woodford makes spraying a $3k-$4k  rifle way less nerve wracking.
