Never painted any of them, thought I would give one a shot.    Had a vision in my head of a tiger stripe look, but it came out like tiger s--t.

Picture of part of my property, I live in commie Washington up North.

First attempt, might look a bit better after I threw it down the driveway a few times or not.
" />

Second attempt over the first one, still have to do the other side.
" />

Thoughts or input on anything you would add to the second paint scheme.

1) Looks good to me

2) Most importantly, thank you, OP, for not making AR possessive, but plural as in ARs. Outstanding!

How was your prep for paint?
The cleaner your prep alcohol etc. Means the longer paint will last. Good busy pattern.

I just did a wipe down with alcohol, then a shot or two of the good stuff for myself.

+1 for the first one.

Second one will just look like a black rifle from a distance.

Read my signature.

First one looks good, but it doesn’t have to be perfect. And if you don’t like it, you can always paint over it and try again.

And in before the lock/move. For some reason, painted rifle pic threads aren’t welcome here while every other pic thread is.

I spent a good minute looking for the rifle in the 1st pic before I read the comment that you were just showing the area.

First looks better than second.  2nd needs more contrast.  Here’s one I did years ago.
