Apologies if this has already been covered / asked. I could not see an answer to this for looking.

Has anyone here done a pin and weld with the KAC Spacer? ADCO Link for spacer

What I am wondering is, if you use this spacer on a 14.5 in barrel, does a bayonet fit and still set on the barrel properly supported?

Thanks

Nope. This made me curious so I just grabbed my 14.5 with .25 spacer and A2 flash hider pinned and welded and slapped an M7 on it. With the .25 spacer installed the ring on the bayonet sits just behind the flash hider and wobbles around.

The spacer is made for a 14.5” carbine barrel with a standard flash hider to make it 16” legal, instead of using an extended flash hider.

If you have a 14.5” carbine barrel then use an extended A2 flash hider from BCM or Luthe-AR and it should work fine with the bayonet and be pinned 16” legal.

A 14.5” / 14.7” mid-length is another animal altogether.

ETA - There may be other extended flash hiders or brakes that will work not only with bayonets but also with suppressors, just depends on what you want or need.
