Do I use red or blue for slide mounted optics?
I had used blue loctite and torqued to 15 like holosun manual said, and it didn't even last 200 rounds before one of them backed out and the sight was lose.
This is on a p320 vtac

I would not  use red since it requires heat to remove.  You sure the blue you used wasn't an old tube or something?

ETA:  I'm speaking specifically about Loctite.  I know nothing about "Vibratite"

the only time you use red is when your trash can has space for something in it. I use blue for everything. I'd rather Tig weld something over red.

Slide mounted pistol optics?

Vibra-tite or blue Loctite.

I'm using purple on an scs-mp, it's been holding for about 500 rounds so far. Purple is weaker than the blue, I would think the blue would be fine.

I've heard people switch out the fasteners.

Blue. Just a drop.

Blue, just enough to see on the threads. Less than a drop.

You need Loctite 222MS

Don’t quote me on it but with small threads you want purple.

I like Vibra-tite VC-3.  You do get a couple of do overs if you need to remove the screw and retighten.

Also with any thread locker, make sure to clean the threads and holes with a degreaser.  Use some q-tips to get all of the junk out.  Nothing is very effective if the screws and holes are dirty.

Acetone on the screw holes and screws first.  There can’t be any grease/oil or Loctite isn’t going to do much.

Also you should be using the low strength purple stuff (forget the number).  On properly degreased threads, blue can be too much and you’ll end up stripping something out.

I tried purple Locktite, then blue, then Vibratite and they all came loose within a few hundred rounds.  Red Locktite still works after over a thousand rounds.  Will use a soldering iron on the screw head to heat it up if it ever needs to be removed.  Yes, battery compartment is accessible from the side.

Definitely blue.
Red requires a torch to remove, and you don't want to torch an optic.  This also isn't an installation that is going to see any meaningful amount of heat in use, so red is completely unnecessary.

2nd the idea that either your screw or female threads were likely dirty/oiled/etc.
They need to be starting from clean and dry for most threadlocker to do much.  I use qtips and acetone to get down into the female threads.

Obviously this interface takes a beating, so it does have to be done right or it will come loose.

I tried this once, still stripped the screw and had to drill it and remove with an extractor... ymmv.
Blue is good once it is installed correctly.  Once I started cleaning the threaded interfaces correctly, the optics break and go back for RMA before the screws come loose.

Touch of red or drop of blue. Blue is preferable.

Also shake the bottle of Loctite Blue, it separates.

I prefer Vibratite VC3 but I've also used Loctite 243.

I have two M&P 9mm (FS and compact) mounted with holosun SCS RDS.

When originally mounted (torqued but without loctite), both installs had wriggled loose within 100 rounds.

Each pistol has seen about 500 rounds since remounting with purple loctite and have not budged.

YMMV

Purple is for fasteners under .25"

I use purple and a torque wrench (or torque screwdriver).
