I just received my cheap chinese qd mlock mount and ive noticed the screws are pretty long. Is this fine or should i find shorter screws?

Wouldn't bother me. It's not touching. And shouldn't if your rail is worth a damn.

If you're concerned just cut it down. Takes four seconds.

1) Just get shorter screws. It could be an issue with barrel whip, also free float do flex.
2) Do not trust questionable sling mounts. It's gonna suck when pot/zinc alloy metal fails and your expensive gun smashes against the pavement. I recommend BCM for $20. They are made out of steel and nitrided.

Edit: Just noticed the country. Not sure what are is available in your area.

Those screws are obviously much longer than necessary and way too close to the barrel. I'd cut or replace for sure. If/when either the barrel or handguard flexes, it may hit so your concern is valid.

I just went through this while installing Magpul hand stops on a BCM rail.  I cut about 1/8"/3.5mm off the bolt with a hack saw, cleaned up the end with a file, then polished with sandpaper.  I didn't polish to a mirror shine, but wanted to be sure it was smooth for function and in case it contacted the barrel for some reason.  Easy peasy!

This is one of the few times Dremel and gun stuff mix. Cut off wheel and shorten.

I have multiple choices that I bought from McMaster Carr for MLOK screws for this very reason. I just use the ones that are flush, or nearly, with the MLOK nut once tightened.

I ran into this with the Slate Black rail covers. The supplied bolts just barely contacted the gas block to the point they might have actually caused some deflection when fired. Definitely want to get the next shorter screw or cut those down. Barrel whip is a real threat especially towards the business end.

I bought a cheap Chinese QD sling mount. I did not listen to others and learned my lesson the hard way. In due time you too will learn.
It’s a strange world where we will spend thousands on the rifle and optics but agonize over a $20 qd sling mount.
