Hey All!
New to the forum but not the AR. Got a wierd one. Had a fully functioning A2 - outstanding shooter. My standard issue eyeballs no longer function with a rear peep so I swapped from a MilSpec A2 reciever to a Wilson Combat MilSpec flat top so I could mount some optics. Everything else stayed the same including the standard pinned-in-place A2 gas block/front site. I ended up taking some weight out of the buffer which I thought solved the problem - until it got hot. Now it is failing to pick up and feed as if it is short stroking although the ejection is fine. I did not expect this when swapping the reciever. Any ideas?

What barrel? Rifle ramps in the extension and M4 in the new upper?

Now that is something I did not consider! The barrel is unmarked, which I have been told could mean it is an early Daniel Defense unit and it is indeed an A2 barrel. And the flat top receiver is indeed an M4 unit. Thank you sir! Not sure if this is the only issue, but it is one that will need fixing!
