Salesman said "your order will be 'upgraded' to the Gen 4 that should be out within a few months", so i figured what the heck i already paid and i guess now have an early spot for the soon to arrive re-stock...

Well over 2.5 years later i finally got an email today to confirm my FFL and that i still wanted my order, stating they are expecting to ship out in November

Longest i've ever waited, for any product really. This Gen 4 better be the bees fucking knees

You're absolutely right. Eye box is too vague of a term. More specifically, I was referring to the smaller height and width of the Acros glass in conjunction with its tube design, making it less forgiving as far as ones position on the cheek weld.

I have prior experience with my now 10 year old aimpoint micro h1, which has held up great. About 5 years ago, I went with the leupold deltapoint pro for my 2nd AR, which quickly became my go-to due to its shorter and lighter barrel and the larger single pane glass.

The deltapoint has been a great sight. Clear glass, as close to parallax free as aimpoint, and long battery life due to shake awake. The downside for me is that, like you, I see more of a comma with it vs a crisp dot with the aimpoints. It's not that big of a deal, since my focus is on short and mid range and setting zero to the top of the comma works for me. It's still distracting on the occasions that I slap on the 3x magnifier and am wanting to be a bit more precise.

I really wanted to try an Acro on my latest Noveske Infidel build, but they are like hens teeth, so I defaulted to what I know already. A 2nd deltapoint pro. A micro h2 or t2 blipped the radar, but I've become a bit spoiled by the ultra small and lightweight mrds and tiny mount setups. And I laughingly agree with you, as far as taking pause over a couple hundred extra bucks on a sight that's going on a few thousand $ rifle. Hahaha!

It figures, my luck, before I can even get a chance to fine tune the deltapoints zero, I stumbled upon a lone Acro P2 online. Since I can't help myself when it comes to building AR's and Jeeps, I now have a deltapoint on an SLR mount sitting back in its box until I get around to building my 4th and final stripped lower.

Forgive my rambling. My one and only concern was going back to a tube with smaller glass. The deltapoint is comparable in size to your SRO, so I was curious about whether or not the smaller Acro glass would be a hindrance at all. I've since taken delivery of the Acro and Scalarworks 1.57" mount, and have yet to really feel like it hinders anything. I have it set all the way forward on the receiver, and the higher than absolute cowitness mount definitely makes a bigger difference than I thought it would. Like yourself, just gotta start racking up the time with it, but so far so good.

Thanks again for the extra nudge off the fence!

I kinda cheated 🫣
I still haven’t found the exact correct, original mount but I found an old mount with the right ADM markings.  I sent it out and got the Noveske cross put on it.

Finally picked up a space invader and now I am looking at what suppressor to get for it.
It will be a dedicated can.

I plan on picking up 2 different cans, 1 for the invader and 1 for my kp9.

Looking at the following so far but I am open to suggestions from people that currently run cans on the space invader.

HUXWRX RAD9
HUXWRX CASH9K
DEADAIR WOLFMAN
RUGGED OBSIDIAN9

Close, that’s a 12.5” barrel with 9” (or 9.5” depending how you measure it) rail.

Gen 4 Upper/Handguard combos on two re-builds.

Bottom will be 10.5” 5.56, top 14.5” 6 ARC.

Just waiting on the appropriately sized crows foot wrench.
