This thread makes me feel lonely and upperless. Mega Lower, MIAD, and CTR, all sitting here beside me. I've got an LMT F/A BCG, Smith Vortex, handguards, and charging handle, all ordered and/or en route. The only thing I haven't yet ordered is the upper, and I'm worried I won't even get into the next batch.
So, hopefully, this space reserved for when I get my upper. If I don't make it into the next batch, I may just go with CMMG or someone else who makes a relatively affordable 16" mid-length. I really want the BCM though, I've heard nothing but good things about them. |

A year from now you won't remember that you waited an extra month or two on a Bravo Company upper if that is what you really wanted. If you go with another brand, a year from now all you will be thinking about is how you wish you had waited a little longer and got what you really wanted. My SBR project took 11 months. Looking back on it now, I don't regret the wait, because I got exactly what I wanted and didn't "settle" for second best. Just my .02 |

Yeah, that's really true. It'd kinda suck if something silly like an AWB happened, though, and as my rifle isn't complete, it technically wouldn't be semi-auto, and thus not grandfathered in...
Ehh, big IF. Thanks for helping me stay the course. |

Haven't been able to get in any range time yet. Nice blaster. What are your plans for it? |

I plan on adding a Midwest Industries MCTAR-18 or the 9" MRF-DI when it comes out in a few weeks (according to an email I got from Troy when I inquired about a drop-in for middies). Then I'll add a light (not sure which, leaning toward the Streamlight TLR-1), VFG (probably the Tango Down stubby) and Magpul XTM panels. I have my eye on the Boonie Packer quick-adjustable two-point sling as well. I'll eventually get around to an optic for it - I'm leaning toward a Trijicon Accupoint 1.25-4x red triangle. Then, if/when Magpul gets the ACS stock out - I'll probably put one of those on it. |

And its the best trigger I own. I have no idea what trigger he used. The production versions will be just as good or better. As I understand it the logo will be different. These are marked Bravo Company USA, the ptoduction versions may be marked Bravo Company Manufacturing or some variation there of. But know this. If they are as good as this one, I will own at least two. |

I took my new middy to the range today for the first time. It is set up with plain handguards and a LaRue rear sight. All I did to it was put on plain tapered handguards, and the LaRue rear sights. I stuck it on a Stag lower. The lower has a MP MIAD and a MP trigger guard. The stock is a mil-spec M4 style from BCM.
I took it out and shot it using the roof of my car as an improvised bench rest. The first group was dead on for windage and a little low. Four clicks up and its dead on. Next three rounds are all in the head box from 50 yards. Next three rounds are all in the hed box. My partner comes over to check it out. She's an ex MP with a long military history. She complains that she never was able to shoot the M16 very well. Me - Here try this. Her - Okay. three rounds later Her - Holy Crap they're all together! Close together. Can I do it again? five rounds later Her - Holy Crap!! Those are all together. Did I do that? five round later Her - I can't believe this. I really want one of these. Crowd now forming. Crowd - What kind is it? How much ammo did you bring? Hey quit pushing! I'm next.... And so, a little while later. I finally got my new rifle back. Everyone was impressed. Everyone shot well with it. It attracted a lot of attention. Of couse my partner shooting it helped too. Sorry. No camera on the range today. Maybe next week..... |
