I have a complete Geissele SD lower sitting around, but not sure what I want to build with it. I do know that the goal here will be lightweight. The goal will be to have it weigh about 5 lbs before accessories & can are added. It will just be a range toy.
I'll likely swap some of the existing lower parts with lighter parts, but the receiver itself & trigger will stay. Well, maybe I will replace the trigger with a Larue MBT-2S I have in the parts bin and sell the SSA-E X Lightning bow lol. It will be run suppressed full time. Kicking around the idea of finally diving into the world of low mass BCGs and adjustable gas blocks. I do know that will end up with a Fostec handguard on whatever I build. I already have a 16" barrel AR, 10.5" SBR & 14.5" AR along with a 22LR rifle, 22LR pistol & AR9 pistol. I did think about doing 300 blackout, but not really wanting to add anymore calibers. Especially ones with expensive ammo. Outside of that, I have no clue what to build. I know I don't want to build a dupe of what I already have. |

I know you can feel it let it in people will still hate you in the end.
So hate back, plan the attack then they will realize they cannot crack the mind of a fucking maniac. The voice inside you always wins your grave's been dug so lie in it. |

While that would compliment your current layout, SPR is not anything like you're asking for. You could however put some money into making your 10.3 lighter and make that your light weight gun and then add an SPR. Not sure of your needs, but no. SPR doesn't fit your criteria

A1 upper with a 16" pencil barrel then. N1 stock and CAR handguards.

Take the shortest possible barrel that is still legal in your country, put a loudener on it and annoy the hell out of your neighbours for pissing you of 20 years ago.

How much quieter will suppressed 300 Blackout be vs a suppressed 5.56 round out of a 10.5", 14.5" and/or 16" barrel? I'm not going to stock a new caliber for minimal returns

After looking at 300 BO subsonic ammo prices, I'll pass.

Build a nice 20 inch A2 clone. Everyone needs one.

I am a big fan of anything 14.5”, so that is my recommendation
I still think the KAC 14.5” Mod 2 Carbine is the finest looking rifle ever made |

Looks like same boat with those others :( |

Looks like same boat with those others :( 7.62x39mm is typically lower cost, though rising, and also available subsonic. .350 Legend is a straightwall legal hunting caliber, not blasting ammo. If you have access to a long distance range, then 6.5G, 6mm ARC, etc, start to look more interesting. |

Maybe I should get a 7.5" 5.56 upper. I can just slap that on my SBR lower and run it suppressed.
Other choice might be a 4.5" ish barrel 9mm AR build. I could just waste time & $ and build a 12.5" 5.56 upper lol In other words, I am still wildly unsure of what to do. |

Did I suggest a .410 shotgun upper already?
