Hello all,

I am re-thinking my lighting decision here. I currently have a:
- Surefire Mini Scout Light Pro
- Surefire DS00 TailCap
- Surefire SR07 Switch

I really like the footprint of the Mini Scout Light Pro with the DS00, so I am not wanting something much larger. A bit larger would be fine.

What I am looking for is more light (Lumens/candela?). Not necessarily a laser, which is why I do not think the OKW would be ideal, rather the PLHv2 - however I am very new to this subject.

It would also be ideal if I can re-use my DS00 TailCap and SR07 Switch with said light.

Right now I am between the:
- Modlite PLHv2-18650 WML
- Modlite PLHv2 18350 WML

They both show: 1350 lumens and candela 54,000 - so what is the difference other than the size of both the light and battery? Assuming just longer battery life?

I am assuming the Modlite can accept my Surefire Accessories as the DS00 TailCap is a "Addon" for both lights on the site.

The Recipient of new light is a 14.5" BCM and its primary use is fun/SHTF - would like a light that's not TOO bright for indoor use.

Open to suggestions, thanks!

PLHV2 head is what I use on everything, with an OKW spare to use as needed and I use on my handheld. You will not be disappointed. 18350 vs 18650, is as you said, size, wt and battery life. 18350 will work for 90% of what you are likely to use for and entire night and you will always have a backup battery.
ETA: surefire tailcap and switch will work on modlite body

Looks like the 18350 is the exact same size as my Surefire Mini, so that should be perfect.

My experience is tangential but moved from a M600U (CR123) to a Modlite Legacy Enhanced head which also uses CR123 compatible batteries.  Big upgrade.

I saw those avail on the site, just haven't seen much about those heads.

I had a change of heart and opted for the 18650 version, thankfully I was able to get it swapped before they shipped. I would like the longer run-time after thinking about it and watching some good ol YouTube videos. And its the same price as the smaller body with the slightly cheaper body and cheaper batts - so if I change my mind again - which will probably happen, the 18350 body/batts a bit cheaper.

Now I am just trying to figure out if the ModButton should be 4.5 vs 7" - Waiting to get the light mounted so I can measure with a string or something haha.

You are going to be shocked how much the light and battery weigh compared to your current light and battery. Just saying.

I would have gone 340 Surefire DFT with swivel picatinny mount.  Much lighter and smaller. You don't need that much run time if you don't use the weaponlight in night watchman mode.
