I have a couple Dewey coated rods that need replacing.  Before I throw them out are there any secondary uses?

You replacing with Dewey again?

Good rods but the male threads are kind of a pisser offer.  Seemed I was always hunting down their female jags or when I can’t find those I’m looking for that damn adaptor.

Have an old rod in my range bag that I cut down to 18" or so, just long enough to clear a stuck case or a squib from a 16" barrel.

Put one segment in a vice, then hammer about a 2" portion 20° or so, then break Q-tips so they seat in there.  Imagine the possibilities!

cut it to about 18" and put in in your SBRs bore so they can sit in your safe without falling into the other guns
