I have a C7 upper that was sold to me as a Bushmaster.
It has a “L” stamped on the takedown boss.

I have not seen this before.
How old would this be and what would the “L” designate?
Is it even a Bushmaster?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Possibly a LAR mfg receiver. Out of business since 2012 or 2013.

Interesting.  I was always told they did a "Y" on the rear boss.

This is an old A2 Bushy of mine from the late 80's very early 90's, in grey.
