Do any of you know an MLOK handguard that does not come with a proprietary barrel nut, but is mounted on the standard barrel nut?

The reason for this is:
I already have one of these handguards, a Fortis Rev II.
However, this is not available in Austria (or in Europe at all).
Please don't ask me how I got mine - you can guess.
But now a friend also wants to have one of these handguards. Since I don't want to expect him to get into trouble with customs, I'm looking for a legal option.
Fortis and all of its officially listed dealers ship only to the U.S.
This manufacturer is therefore not an option. Maybe there is another manufacturer whose dealer network also extends to Europe?

Damn solid kit.

I couldn't tell you specifics regarding availability in Austria.

I think there is an Israeli option as well, can’t think of the name though.

Thanks for the input guys,
The more of these handguards I know by name, the greater the chance of finding a local seller who can purchase them.

The ones from Midwest are not suitable because they either have a front sight cutout or are not MLOK but quad-picatinny.
But Troy's was a good clue!

The one from centurion arms looks very good, but is also very expensive.
You can assume that the price will almost double by the time I have an an item shipped from the U.S. in my hands (shipping, taxes, customs, fees, local seller if necessary).
It's always been like this until now. But okay, that's just the price if I want the cool stuff from the USA.

It doesn't look like Centurion Arms itself ships internationally.
At least not to Austria or Germany.
When I want to place an order on their website, I am asked to enter a different address.

I will also continue to search for the handguard from Israel, maybe I can find out which model it is.

Further suggestions are welcome.

Shop Brownells Europe, possibly you'll find something close.

I see that they have the Centurion C4 rails available (picitinny), possibly they can order what you seek?

Ok, I won’t ask, I’ll demand.

Tell me how you got the Fortis Handguard.

I have already contacted Brownells and asked the same questions.
Since the Austrian representative office only consists of a small warehouse and only ordered packages can be picked up there, it will take a while until Brownells Austria tells me what Brownells USA said.
I've already ordered a lot there and enjoy doing it again and again - it just feels like it takes ages when I request something that isn't in the regular range.

That is interesting.
I've heard a lot about UTG so far, but there was nothing positive about it.
Therefore it wouldn't have been on my wish list.

The UTG Pro line is USA made and quite nice. Whether you can source one outside the US I don't know. Maybe Ebay?

However, they have their own barrel nut, so that's probably out.

“From the gettin’ place…”

Try the Danes.

A euro MI dealer, maybe worth a phone call.

I'd just buy a rev2 off ebay. I really like mine. You like the one you have. Some dude on ebay isn't going to give half a shit about your importation laws. Might not be the best advice, but that's what I'd do. That or just decide to swap your barrel nut. It's not hard.

The problem is not my import laws, but your export laws. If a regulated part is intercepted at U.S. customs, the sender will get a lot of problems if he doesn't have an export permission.. Nothing will happen to me, I haven't broken any of my laws here.
In the USA you can buy the cool stuff everywhere, but they only release it with extremely complicated export permits that are impossible to handle for private individuals.
The fact that Austria is not in NATO makes importing even more difficult for me. German dealers often have what I want, but sometimes they are not allowed to re-export it to me.
I know that changing the barrel nut is not difficult, but as already mentioned it is not for me but for a friend. He doesn't dare to do it, but he just wants to do something on his own.
It always starts with small steps...

VLTOR uses GI bbl nut plus standard delta ring setup. It's a midlength, but I used it on a carbine gas bbl.
