Got my mine set between one of these.
Amazon Product
  • CONFIDENT AIMING IN ANY LIGHT: User-selectable LED brightness settings with an "off" in between each setting to adapt to any environment

Not an moa fan, but the sfp, green only reticle, and ridiculous 56mm objective on the first scope don’t appeal to me.

What are you wanting to do with it?

Those are two different scopes geared towards two very different market segments.

Personal opinion?  If you’re not sure which one to pick based on features alone, you might want to evaluate yours needs and capabilities and work outward from there before you buy a $1k scope that won’t do what you need/want it to do.

Pay attention to these:
- FFP vs SFP is a pretty significant difference.
- The x36 has nearly double the internal elevation travel as the x56.
- The reticles are geared towards different things as well.

General shooting on a 18” 556 AR. 500 yds max. I have 1-4 and 1-6 scopes but I want a little more magnification.
The 2.5-10 c56 is probably too big but it has a large eye box.
The 2-10x36 is probably what I need, just not sure about ffp

I have replaced all of my optics with FFP, including my hunting rifles, match rifles, SPR/DMR rifles,  etc.  The only SFP scopes I have left are a couple of old Zeiss that sit on inherited big game rifles.

I mainly hunt out west, and compete all over, so SFP is a no go for me.

Why do you prefer mil over moa? MOA is what I’m use to.
I do have a us optic 1-6 ffp and mil reticle

@3-gun

This is my answer to your question as well. I’m not prior or active military, but when I decided I wanted to learn the long distance game, mils made more sense to me.

This is the book that got me started on the basics of weaponized ballistic math. Cleckner has a bunch of stuff on YouTube as well. I’m still pretty early in the learning process, but I’m in the best part: practicing what I’ve learned.

I would not buy either since they are both MOA.

If they were mil reticles, I'd prefer the FFP x36.

Well I pretty much decided the 2-10x36 is the way to go. Just wanted to be sure I wasn’t missing something.
Will also go with the mil reticle.

I’m getting the 2-10 ffp for a 16in precision build.
