Congratulations! I'm sorry to hear that it took you 11 years, and I sincerely hope that it doesn't take you that long for your second one.

It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.

Thanks I hope it doesn't either, already have another tag and hoping for a buck.

Thunderchicken21, that pic of you with the buck looks like you took the time to get a quality photo. It really captures the moment and is quite scenic. Congratulations on a great buck!

Sounds good, I'm in Warren but hunting in Butler so hopefully I see a buck close to yours. Of course I'd probably shake so hard I'd fall out of the tree stand. |

A small buck was harassing this doe, and right as I was triggering my release, the buck lunged at the doe. She turned to look back at the buck as soon as the arrow was in flight, and instead of hitting her in the vitals, I hit her dead square in the neck. Gosh dang your a killin mofo, I would be inclined to let that slick walk though, sure looks tiny. |

Good deal, Not judging you by any means brother, Just had a good chuckle at the pic when I seen the ATA on your bow was longer than the slickers height all together We've all been in your shoes, they all eat good. |

I didn't taken any offense. Anyone who has ever shot a button buck has encountered the same thing. It's hard to judge the size of a single antlerless deer from 20 feet up in a tree. Throw in the fact that a buck was running it all around, and I would have sworn that it was older than it was. |

It's funny, because you watch all the hunting shows and they shoot a buck and the guy is always talking about how he's shaking and that. I always thought they were just playing for the camera/being over dramatic... But sure enough the second I shot that doe the shakes set in. Something about being so close, using a primitive (sorta) weapon, and waiting things out replaying the shot over and over and over - it's all a very powerful, and unique high. Now I can't wait for my next go 'round. |
