It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.

Nice group
Those look pretty nice. What are your first impressions? |

I've never shot one, I've been afraid I'd not follow through and watch the pretty little light. Did you have any trouble wanting to peek when you stated using them? (I peek now every once in a while )

Stick it.

I have a rather large peep, so I end up seeing the arrow anyway without peeking around it.
I've shot quite a few deer with lighted nocks, and once you do, you'll never hunt without them again. Prior to that, I'd arrow a deer on the edge of darkness and it would run off, leaving me wondering if I'd gotten a good hit or not. Now I know immediately where the hit was. It also makes finding your arrow a lot easier. |

Any speration issues?
I got less than 2 weeks in my daily routine last year with Easton's and Luminok. I picked up a set of Nokturnals and the CE version.. I am just waiting for a week before the season opens in case they don't hold up to the repeated practice. |

I'll be buying more for hunting soon, as I just bought these for the correct nock weight during practice. The Lumenoks that I used last year had a habit of sending the batteries flying down the inside of the shafts and into the rear of the field points, which essentially ruined the batteries. |

Excited to try them then. Thanks for the recommend M4M |

Used both last year. The nocturnals are much better. I like the "switch" much better than the "turning" on off. Plus they are lighter. The lumenocks they say will stay lit for 40 hours. They don't. In a real world situation with a wounded dear mine were dead well before that.

ive had a couple of nocturnals split but only after several hundred shots and being shot through deer. they are not as bright as some of the other lighted nocks but they light every single time. i have one on every one of my arrows and wont shoot anything else. one the ones that split i set them on my bar to see how long they stayed lit and it was a couple days. we used the arrow with nocturnal lit up to mark the last blood on a deer i didnt hit so good last year and it was a great way to reference where the last blood was for the 3 hours we tracked till we found him.

Anyone try the fire knocks? I've heard really good things about them.

They come highly reccomended by the guy at Hoffman Archery in Warrenton, VA who tuned my bow last week... he claims he has never heard of a failure to light... good enough for me to buy a 3-pack... then promptly blew one up with robin hood..lol |

I had a failure to light on a buck I shot two weekends ago! Brand new red Nockturnal. I contacted Feradyne Outdoors and they wanted me to send it in to them for replacement. I still think they are great, but will be testing all future nocks before hitting the field.

I picked up some Nockturnals and they work great. I use the green ones. I want to pick up some Firenocks because they blink and the red is very bright.

Hello all, I also prefer the nockturnal nocks over Luminox. The Nocturnals are a lot brighter than the old Luminox and I was never fond of how the Luminox turned on. I'm. I have also had some separation issues, mostly with my crossbow, not so much with my compound bow. The other great thing about a lighted nock is I have yet to lose an arrow or bolt with lighted nock. Even when my dad uses my crossbow, shoots three feet over the deers back, the bolt hits a tree limb and go skipping off into space. The nockturnal Nock glowed like a beacon in the woods some 80 to 90 yards away.

I’ve shot both the luminox and the nockturnals. The luminoxs are trash , the battery separates at impact . The new strobe nocturnals are bad ass . Green/ red are the brightest. Running them on all my arrows now . Great for finding the flyers. Once I got up in the middle of the night to take a leak and peaked out the window , Sure enough there were two BRIGHT blinking lights back in the woods lol
Still as bright as the day I bought them last fall. BPS has the 3 packs for $15 right now |

Nockturnals are the best by far. I have the two color blinkers and they are awesome bright and catch the eye. Had one where the ear of the nock broke and they replaced it quickly and were great to talk to. Good people there.

The nockturnals are great until you get a bunch of blood and junk in the switch mechanism. I'm using Lumenoks now.

Just got into archery last year through the Walmart clearance thread. Picked up a Bear Pledge RH and tons of arrows and accessories for dirt cheap !!! Bought 3 packages of Noctournals at $5 each and wish I bought more, maybe they'll have more on clearance after bow hunting season
