I have one in a safe somewhere..the wood stock it has is not favorable to changing stocks

Nice!
Even with adjusting the collar, the accuracy stinks for receiver mounted optics. Volkquartsen (sp?) makes a barrel with integrated picatinny rail. Few other ways to do barrel mounted optics. As sbr, I don’t know if something like a magpul backpacker makes sense unless you left a suppressor on it. Maybe just get a folder.( I wouldn’t know though I’m in NY).  Sampson has a takedown version of the a-team (AC556) style stock on back order

SBR it and put it a Magpul Backpacker stock.
Mine has a 6" Whistlepig/Acculite barrel and a DA Mask. No added length when broken-down. |

It is a basic little rig, I do like the compact zippered padded case and it shows away very compact.
Brace it and red dot it, they are fun. |

The backpacker is a nice package paired with a 16” barrel but nothing is gained is packability between that and a charger. Just the overall assembled length.
