Thinking of getting another 45ACP from Rudy at Macon Armory. Probably either  a 16" or maybe a 11". Just can't make up my mind to go with "BB" or "DI" set up.
My current upper from him is a 8" Blow back(BB).
So what do Guys think?

There is 3rd option of CMMG RDB.

Details on my setup are here: https://c3junkie.com/?page_id=841

Rudy at Macon Armory made the barrel below for me for my CMMG RDB in .45ACP.

I personally prefer to use systems that do not use a gas port for pistol caliber especially for suppressed use.

I would think DI or CMMG's system would be softer shooting.  A HiPoint .45 carbine back, I pulled the recoil springs from the buttstock & that thumped pretty good.

Plus I will be putting a suppressor on this.

I would go CMMG RDB which BTW, I haven't heard about any ejector spring issues with the CMMG RDB in .45ACP.  Only an issue with 9mm / 40SW and 10mm which are all higher pressure than .45ACP.

How accurate to 100 yards with suppressor are these 45 carbines? Just asking cause I don't know.

If you can afford to make the trip, I believe that Rudy will let you test fire his configurations if you set up the trip before hand so he can make sure he has the right setups on hand.
While I do have a non-AR delayed blowback as well as direct blowback .45 ACP shouldered firearms, I'm not a competitive shooter, so the benefits of a delayed system are lost on me.  So what I have for an AR .45 ACP setup is a direct blowback BCG with a hydraulic buffer based recoil system.
Best of luck with whatever you pursue.
MHO, YMMV, etc.

Mine is much better than "minute of man".

What is your opinion of this .45acp carbine?

Seems decent.  Takes Glock mags.  Folding stock.  Nicer than the HiPoint, same straight blowback action.

Op started this thread to discuss his topic of blow back vs DI from Macon armory.

If you want to discuss a ruger pcc...you should probably start your own thread for that.

After talking with Rudy, I just ordered a 11" (DI), so will see how well that configuration will work. Quite happy with my 8"(BB).

What are you using for a lower?

Currently using a Anderson lower with the Macon 45ACP adapter and  Rave 3.5# single stage trigger.  Everything else was what I had in the parts pile.
Fun to shoot to say the least.
Currently shooting reloads, 230gr Extreme Bullets, 5gr Bullseye and 4.6gr WST. Both make a ragged hole at 15 yards.

When I was behind the lines in NJ, I got a 16” .45 D/I upper from Rudy. Now living in ME with multiple NFA items, I’m probably going to have it cut down to about that length. From everything I’ve seen, 10” to 12” is the sweet spot for 230 grain. If I do that and the Griffin muzzle device for my Bushwhacker 46, should be a fun package.

Got to check with Rudy how much work goes into it besides the chop… hoping that the gas port works so I can use the barrel. Probably will plan on doing it (Form 1, shorten/thread and engraving) once I finish the current project I’m on.

Since you mentioned it in the OP and brought it up, what about the blowback upper bothers you or hasn't worked properly?

Honest question.

I have had several conversation with Rudy, the owner of Macon Amory.
He recommends the "DI" system over the "BB."
