Hello all,

I’m trying to get my hands on a thread protector for my 8.6 Fix. I’m going with a direct thread setup but my Alaskan360 hasn’t been approved yet. In the meantime, I’d like to offload my mounting accessories and muzzle device and get a simple thread protector. Turns out this hasn’t been so easy. I’ve only managed to locate them at Pacific Tool and Gauge, but the shipping is almost as much as the thread protector… Does anyone out there know where I might be able to get one or have one made at a reasonable price?

Thanks for the help!

Try this place…

https://www.cncwarrior.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=M18+1.5&Submit=

I needed a thread protector for a Swedish Mauser 6.5x55 M14 x 1.0 RH. I wound up getting a birdcage flash hider.

Maybe they can fix you up. You’ll also need to specify RH or LH threads, or at least I did.

Mine was $22.99 + $5.60 S&H

Good luck!

Pretty sure AI uses that thread pitch. Try searching for an AI thread protector.
