I will use a Salvo with a Shockwave and a Benneli M4 (sbs - I have both 14" and 18" bbls). Im interested to know what ammo folks recommend. SiCo said 'no rifled slugs, has to have a cup, sabots work well'. I have never used sabots. I have a lot of Win AA bird/ trap loads, Fed LE low-recoil buck 8- and 9- pellet w flite-control, and same in slugs. I plan to use shorties almost exclusively with the Shockwave - Aguila shot, 'bird/buck mix' rounds and slugs, and Fed 15. Plenty of all that. Briley threaded the barrels, I have the SiCo choke/ mounts, have all.the rods for the different Salvo lengths. Im interested to read opinions/ experience of combos of what works well, for suppression, accuracy, cycling, cost, whatever makes sense to discuss. I searched thriugh ammo threads, didn't find - 8f therecare better locations for this post, of course please advise.

Below is a picture of my Salvo12 on my TS12.  It works great.

I have had great luck with these two subsonic loads:

Thats a symmetrical setup, relatively rare among photos ive seen, most of which have the sore thumb look (including mine). Aestehtics are for conversation only, of course. I'll try the Win AA low recoil, will be interested to see how well they cycle in an M4, 14" or 18", and whether shortening the Salvo has an impact.

I also have had good luck with the Winchester low noise in my Salvo, but its used on pump guns for the most part.  I did just finally score a T/C 12ga barrel and had it threaded, so it'll be interesting to see how that sounds with the Salvo, even at 18" its OAL is as short as my SBSs.  I've also had great success with the Aguila Mini shells, especially the slugs, they sound so good out of my 870.  They don't feed great in the 870s, but the sound is exceptional.

Aren't the Aguila mini slugs rifled? SiCo says the Salvo will be damaged by rifled slugs...

Well, I'll be. Thanks for posting, swear I looked at mine and online and saw 'rifled'. Solves for the Shockwave endeavor at range that allows only slugs.

No problem.  I think they're actually a pretty viable load for defensive uses.  They're hilarious out of my SBS 870 with the Salvo, I swear it makes a little 'bloop' sound when they pop out of the end of the can.

Not hard to imagine the 'bloop'.
