I watched the Brass Facts review of the LS-M3 and LS-FL5 and it got me curious about trying one. Evidently, Laserspeed is coming out with an M3 that moves the IR, Vis, and IR Designator to one side of the body like a Holosun 321G called the Laserspeed LS-M6.
I'd like to give it a try, but pre-ordering a unit while having no idea about the specs, performance, durability, and switch compatibility is tough. Does anyone have any more insights or color on this new unit? upload images |

Just received the Laserspeed M3 and it's a fantastic laser!
I was worried about the quality but other than the remote switch port, I'd say it's on par with Steiner Dbal D2's. The tape switch is the weak point IMO. There's little tiny wires on the tape switch side that are only held in with little set screws. I'll probably end up getting a 90 degree end and soldering the wires in, if I decide I need to use the tape switch. This is a FP unit that reaches WAY out. It's a solid unit. I would venture to guess the M6 will be just as good. In for other comments. ETA: Where are you finding the M6 for pre-order? |

The FDA needs to pull their heads out of their asses and let us have FP units. |

I might end up buying one of these. Weight and Size looks good. I figure it's roughly the same risk I took on my PERST and that's worked out fine so far. I think I'll wait till after the pre-sale though. I've seen ETA's ranging from late December to March.

Definitely interested in this, looks way more compact and nicer than the prior offerings. I'll probably pick one up when I have the funds and sell my LS321. Finally something made for lefties!
I have no qualms purchasing this from China when other options are trash in their own unique ways. Whether it's price, illuminator, etc. Competition breeds innovation. We don't have to accept getting bent over by other manufacturers. |

So, this or the Z-Bolt ACAL. I realize they are different beasts but roughly in the same ballpark on price point.

Z bolt's unit been "in development" for awhile and it looks like only the civ variant will be for commercial sale.

These have been shipping for a week or so. Curious if anyone here has one yet. I've seen some pictures but no video.

View Quote I ordered two, one from the Ebay site and another here stateside after being impressed with the first. They replaced my LS321Gs if that tells you anything. Great build quality, holds zero, insanely powerful.. as in, you will torch someone's nutsack off with the illuminator There are a number of videos on YouTube at this point. Criminally underrated LAMs IMO |

There is going to be a group buy found elsewhere for an exclusive (for now) version that is lighter, has a better fire button placement for right-handers, and takes Crane plug.

View Quote Here are the prototype photos for anyone interested. Courtesy of the reddit user who is doing the group buy and helped Laserspeed with design input. I’ll probably post here whenever the units are ready for purchase, and can help people get in contact with the seller (I don’t think they’ll be available direct from laserspeed unless they adopt it as the gen2 M6 design). It looks very promising I went ahead and ordered a regular M6 to mess with, and will probably post a review of it at some point. Depending on how It goes I’ll grab one of these revised ones also. Looks like a totally different unit One interesting part.. the center (between laser & battery compartment) on the M6 is hollow, with a rubber plug on the end for tool storage. They must have collapsed this gap and shrunk the horizontal size |

Just got one to mess with.
So far the biggest drawback I see is the lack of illuminator diffuser for CQB as well as no neutral density filter for the ir pointer. Basically there’s no way to get a “pointer low/illuminator high” setting. They should have built that in to the settings if they weren’t going to make a diffuser/NDF cover… but china is gonna china That as well as the obvious things that people have pointed out such as the fire button location. As a right handed shooter I can’t use the onboard fire button, so that’s obviously a dealbreaker for some. Wasn’t a dealbreaker for me because I planned on using the included tape switch system (which is surprisingly of good quality). Even the plug system seems pretty robust, at least much better than anything that came on the early Russia Perst units. May eventually do a review of it once I get enough time using it. Somebody good with 3D printing could easily make a diffuser for the illuminator. If any of you guys are interested in that project let me know and I’ll do my best to get you measurements or send the unit to you (I’m thinking of the guy who did all the cool stuff with the perst products). I have some pretty good ideas of how to do it and would help someone with design input. Attached File |

In an email exchange Laserspeed confirmed they're making changes, presumably the crane port and the button placement (feedback has been universal on both) This thing is insanely powerful and holds zero.. easy to overlook it's shortcomings given the actual performance. I would 10000% recommend one over the Somogear gamble for a FP unit https://i.imgur.com/9jhNYmA.jpeg View Quote @Horrible_Aim Do you happen to have a link for the 90 degree switches?
