Wanted to load some jacked soft points for my Henry. Finally found some 300 gr. Loaded them up today and no joy. They don't want to feed... Seated them as far as I could and still catch the crimp but just too long. 300 hps might work.  I could chamber one and then put HPs behind it... Wanted them for hunting. Guess I'll have to find some 250s.

What caliber?  300 gr could be 45-70, 45 Colt, 44 Mag or even 44-40.

sorry, 45 colt.... I'll have to use them in my casul. Don't think .451" will work well in a 45-70
