How much of it is new, and how much of it is surplus?

There seems to be discussions on the interwebs whether these FMP Century guns are assembled by PTR, or not. Me, I’m thinking no, so what’s the story? GARY

The muzzle is threaded.

5/8 x 24?

15x1 metric?

We'd really like to know.

Hopefully so. Blank firing adapters and my suppressor muzzle devices are 15x1 already for my HK91 and 1989 FMP. It would suck to have to adapt them to 5/8" threads.

I've magnified images from the Atlantic website - the barrel on their CA3 photos seems to lack the ridges that appear behind the threads on my Euro manufactured barrels.

These look kind of nice - The finish is worn on some of the vintage parts but nothing that can't be touched up- with the A3 stock its kind of cool - Might look nicer with a wide handguard -

I like my 91 clone A3 with plastic training ammo - fun to blast with no recoil.

Ordered one today and honestly hope I get one that's kind of beat up, the Rhodesians used former Portuguese G3's and I'm going to paint this bitch.

Kind of really want this gun.
Been wanting a G3 style .308 to go with my CETME L but just put myself on a hold for any new gun purchases until I get caught up with some home improvements.
At least the wait will give it time for these to get in shooters hands and see some reviews.
I just hope the price holds out

Picked mine up this afternoon and went to the range. I did not measure groups, the place was busy and I forgot my spotting scope so just getting it on paper took all the time I had.

The bolt gap is .018

It is truly a parts kit! Nothing matches. The carrier is an FMP from the early 70s, the bolt is an HK from 1966, the stock was made in 1991. None of the colors match on the furniture. I love it!

The barrel is parkerized, chamber is fluted, not chrome lined.

The welds look good. The cocking handle is marked PTR91 in the bottom. I'm guessing the other 4 US parts are barrel, receiver, flash hider, cocking tube.

The FMP mag that came with the gun is is good shape, the extra 5 HK mags I got are in excellent shape.

According to Century these are the US parts - "The new, American-made components by PTR include the trunnion, barrel, flash hider, stamped receiver, hammer, sear and charging handle... "
