I was going over some older night hunts recently and came across this footage. I kill lots of coyotes with vocalizations and fight sounds can be very good at certain times of the year. This was a fairly unique piece of footage where I had two different packs of coyotes respond to my challenge. Instead of fighting with me, the two coyotes from different packs decided to take each other on. After they were done beating up each other, I finally convinced them I was the real threat. The footage is pretty unique, but this was recorded back about 5 years ago. It shows how far thermal image quality has improved in a very short time. This was filmed with a Flir PTS536 which was a decent thermal scope at the time.

Narrator:  There was no winner.

Gotta love the thermal. Good shooting.

Yes, as you both mentioned, neither of those coyotes ended up winning in the end. The first coyote to arrive was in pretty bad shape by the time it reached me. I was surprised it still responded after being injured. The real winner was me getting to witness something I had never seen before, and then getting a double out of it at the end. Thanks for watching and the comments. What surprises me the most when watching this video that is about 4 years old is the image improvement on current models in comparison. The Flir PTS536 was a decent scope, but times have changed.
