Been wanting a K98 for ages but did not want to add 8mm to the stockpile. Having .308, I wanted to find a IDF 7.62 conversion. This proved tedious as most were imported through South/Central American surplus lots (donated / sold by the Israelis) and totally beat to crap / rusty.
Lucked out, got a super clean Czech > Israeli sample. Not sure of legitimacy but I'm told by the seller it was a parade or demonstration rifle, thus the cherry condition and it's matching.       This was totally enabled by @dirtdivision @jafrush @amped |

Cleanest one I've seen. Most were trashed and horrible bored.

This is one of the ones imported in the 80s, they were the best. Import mark is under the handguard. It should be very accurate.

First 5 shots at 50.
Figured it was zero’d at / for 300m, so did the pumpkin on the post hold. Took it over to 200/300 and was spanking plates. I think I shot it more today than it had been shot since getting the arsenal conversion. It’s an absolute fun shooter.  My rest.   ETA: ammo is Igman M80 200y |
