3 JDI imports, planning to SBR one, keep and collect one, and sell one. What would you do?
Top to bottom - 552 in 5.56 - 553RP in 7.62x39 - 553P in 300BO

Sell the 300BO, SBR the 552 and SBR the 553R at some point in the future. Whatever you do, get the stocks on order now. They take forever to come in.

Was just looking at them closer, waiting for a voice to guide me, I noticed the 300BO is serial number 0011. Yep, that's the one to sell.
The 552 is awfully exclusive, that one makes sense to tuck away. Gonna be hard for the 553 to knock off my 11" Bren2 as favorite 7.62x39 platform. I already have a couple black stocks tucked away, but now I'm gonna have to start searching for an OD Green. That'll probably take 3 years |

Tuck away the 552 unfired.
I’d personally hold onto both the 300bo and the RP for a bit, then sell both. Those are the two least desirable 55x to me. Buy a 553 in 5.56, 551, and 550 or PE90 to keep and shoot. |

So already my minds like "gonna sbr the 7.62, cool. Ooh, gotta have mlok handguard, and cerakote it to match, and a matching od stock". There went a grand lol But hey, gotta feel good to shoot good.
The 551 above it gets used, together those will be a good pair of shooter Sigs. |

Slick setup, OP. I also have all three, but one is a 553SB vs 552. With the 300BLK, if you decide to keep it, check out the B&T BT-21165 handguard, which mine came pre-installed within a batch two years ago from JDI. It's the only one out of the three that has a change from an aesthetics standpoint on the 55X setups. Enjoy.

Will you actually shoot them?
I used to shoot mine more until ARs got so good. Now I'm not sure what to think. I never choose it over something else when it's range time. Even with the quad rail installed, shooting this series of guns reminds me of driving an old car. Hold them all and revisit this come election time. |

I'd rather have the 553r because AK mags are cheaper and more common, as well as more durable than the all plastic 550 magazines. Not to mention the ammo as well, even though most of it will probably be lower quality. Can still run subsonic ammo as well.
These days though my 550 is my only rifle |

I’d sell the 300BO.
I have come to hate that round. I’d sell the 556. I have come to be very fond of AR mags vs proprietary 5.55 mags. I’d keep the AK mag model and SBR it. |
