[Last Edit: Speedinc] [#2]
Here's mine, Just got it yesterday from a gun show in Birch Run Mi. for just over $400!!!

By the time I left, I had 4 offer's to buy it from me! Ummm, its the first one I've actually seen in person, so NO, I'll be keeping her!

Here with the GP121 I'm going to put on her. (the lo-pro mount is bought, but not yet arrived)

A Pic with some other "Tacticool" rifles

Here with my other .22. A Marlin Model 60 (another awsome rilfe for the $$)

Here she is with My Remington 700, Wasr-10, AR carbine, M4 upper (I still working on), and my friends 20" stainless bbl floating HG rifle I build for him.

I can't wait to get some trigger time with her!!!

That case from Cheaper than dirt is an excellent case I bought 2 of them. Lots of storage space and fits the GSG5 perfectly.

You only shot like 17-18 rounds out of a 22-24 round mag.  What gives?

Well I made it to the range today, and I'm in love! My GSG-5 KICKS ASS!!!!

50 yds. I think the pictures speak for themselves:

This is the first 9 rounds: pretty sweet for a .22!

Rapid fire:

I colored in the GSG logo:

What product did you use to color the Logo?

Most people use a china marker.  Those who can't find one tend to use a crayon.

I used model enamel (sp) paint. I colored it in then wiped off the excess. Then I used break free to get the red stain off the metal. Break free doesn't hurt the finish, but it will take off enamal paint.

I had a thread about how to do it with pics, but you'll have to search for it.

I've done it with some of my AR's, and its stayed on there well over a year with alot of range time.

Took mine and the G/F to the range last night. We had some good fun. Having a range just ten min from home has really improved her shooting.

Looks like I could stand to eat a few less Twinkies...

Can anyone with a collapsible stock measure how long the gun is when the stock is closed? Want to know that it's at least 26" to make it legal in the great republic of Californistan. Thanks

The Classic Army Collapsible stock is over 26" when closed. IIRC, it is somewhere on the order of 26.5". Like you, I liive in Cali. I just mounted one of these on my GSG-5 last night. I'm at work, so I can't give you an exact measurement at the moment.

Extra:

I have had it to the range twice now 1500 rounds + rounds through it. The weapon works great, although I had one failure to feed due to a round standing straight up in the magazine, and a stove pipe. I am using the Walmart 550Pack of Federal.

Well I got the G&G Lo-Pro mount for the GP121 (aimpoint clone)... It fit great and seems to be strong, stable, and well made...

It was T marked and easy to mount. It gives you more than enough room to still use the iron sights (Which I really like since they are awsomly accurate)

And Here's some pics with the GP121 mounted.... I'll be taking her to the range tomorrow and sighting it in, and seeing if I like the way the GP121 shoots or the irons better... I'm looking foreward to tomorrow!

Finally SBR'd.  I think it's finished at this point.  Not going to bother with a RIS.
Threading work done by Mike @ Tornado Technologies and uses a GemTech thread adapter.

At about 20 yds it shoots high and left, but at about 15 yds it's okay.  That's good enough for me, I'm not shooting this in as a match target gun.  Not much change in accuracy or POI, either with or without the can, using CCI MiniMags and Federal bulk lead 22LR.  Both ammo brands went supersonic.

Tac52 from Tactical Innovations.

What's the deal with these things? They look like plastic toys. Are they metal construction? How similar are they to the real deal?

a few months back i asked why we haven't seen any low power variable power scopes on these..some replied it wouldn't look right on this type of rifle..well i noticed my millett sitting around waiting to get put on something so i said to myself.....try it...after taking the rear sight off it fits and to me looks good..it works absolutley fantastic!!!

Go somewhere else to criticize, this is a tech forum for pictures of the GSG-5.

Here's mine:

Added a G&P aimpoint clone, hope it can be zeroed (will bring it to the range tomorrow), a handgrip with flashlight and a universal 3 point sling.  Was thinking of getting a folding stock but I kinda liked the look of the fixed stock with the flashlight hand grip.
