Wanted a bolt action that used the same ammo and mags as my ARs.
My first bolt action in a long time, a Ruger American Predator 223 with a Vortex Strike Eagle 3-18x44 FFP  Liked the RAP some much I got a Ranch 556. Replaced the stock with a Sharps Bros Heatseeker chassis, a Matador Arms Sidewinder folding adapter, Phase 5 mini stock, and assorted AR pieces from my parts box. Added a Primary Arms Slx 3x microprism. Just squeezes into a Bulldog Ultra Compact bag that fits behind the backseat of my truck.

Mannlicher Schoenauer Rifle, Model 52, Made in 1952, 30-06 with a vintage 4x Bushnell scope.
  Israeli Mauser 98k in 7.62x51. Imported from Guatemala where it appeared to have been buried in the jungle. The stock was rotted, and the barrel bulged. It has a Redfield receiver sight, xs scout mount with a 2x scope, a Timney trigger, Choate stock and butter knife bolt handle. Kind of like the one above. The barrel was cut at 18”.

I have a love/hate relationship with 308’s. I buy them and then sell them a year later.
