Any tips for a M1903 rear sight ladder removal? I don't want to get it wrong, as simple as it looks.

The ladder from the moveable base or the whole assembly from the rear sight collar?

I don't know if this will help any, but when I changed out the barrels on my Swedish Mausers, the rear sights were silver soldered onto the barrel, plus there was a small setscrew under the ladder sight.
