Defender Tactical has come up with a great solution converting old Mossbergs to use mini shells.
kit includes a modified lifter, shell bumper ad mag follower. I just purchased the lifter as I already had the other components. Here’s a pic of it installed  Attached FileI haven’t taken it to the range yet but it cycles a mix of mini and regular shells with no issues. |

Hopefully it works better than their older mini shell adapter. That thing SUCKS! Complete waste of money.
I bought one to try out. You have to take the trigger group out to install it. It makes loading the shells harder. 2-3/4 shells are extremely hard to load, and then wont feed. Completely forget about trying to use a 3 in shell. It will not even try to load. So if you want to shotgun to shoot ONLY mini shells, then I suppose it would be ok. But it is still a paint to push the rubber lip down to load. The op-sol mini shell adapter works so much better, and it just quickly and easily pops in place and can be removed in a couple seconds. |

It’s way better than the op-sol. It’s a mod that turns your Mossberg into a functional S version. Also allows loading and unloading from the magazine port. It’s not designed to be removed once installed. It uses a modified mini shell adapter with the duck bill portion cut off. If you already have the mini shell adapter all you will need is to purchase the modified lifter.
There really isn’t a need for the op-sol with this available. In any case they sold out in less than a week. |

PSA has some, and Recoil Gunworks. If that kit works as well as my Mossberg 590S, it's a good buy. Time will tell.

I did find some at my distributors. Federal Slugs & #4 buckshot, & Aguila 7.5 birdshot. Slug is 1 oz @ 1200 fps, not bad.
