Many of you will remember seeing these around 5+ years ago for around $200 ish. I bought a 20ga version for my daughter around 6 years ago being blown out for $109 on black Friday.
It's an 870 clone made for NEF / Remington in China. Our experience with the 20ga was that it was initially a bit rougher than a real 870 but solidly built. It uses mossberg pattern choke tubes. It smoothed out quite nicely after about 100 rounds. She's got a few thousand trouble free rounds through it on backyard clays.
Yesterday I saw a 12ga version on the used rack. Paid $150 otd. I'm gonna try goose hunting this fall and don't want to bang my upland O/Us around the marshes. I thought this might be good for that, and it will never be worth less than I paid. I may krylon camo it as goose hunters seem to like camo.
I figured the extra weight would help being all steel and 3". The previous owner must have used it for waterfowl as it has a Dowell rod in place to act as a magazine plug. These held 5 in the mag vs Remingtons 4.
