I currently have a NF AX14 PRO and it's almost perfect aside from still loosening up over time.

Is it worth going to the MAX14 (metal one)?

Also, I'm wondering if I should just buy a second AX14 for a spare instead of the MAX14. I "think" part of the allure in having all polymer J-Arm is that hopefully it would break before my PVS14 housing if I smash it into something.

I can tell you that the metal versions are absolutely worth getting. Nothing wrong with the AX14 Pro, but there is something special about how incredibly solid these new metal ones are
