Funnest gun I have right now - total blast.

5 cents a shot.

(posted about it elsewhere, here it is in the bullpup forum)

Nope, it's a standard 10-22 in a plastic stock.  Takes  10-22 magazines. The suppressor is fake

Image doesn't have a fake suppressor.  So unless it has a 16" barrel OR length greater than 26" total it would still be an SBR.

I should build one of these to go with my sbr ps90 and "Lego" p90. I have some 3d printed 10/22 receivers already

The suppressor is part of the package.  I did not say the OP was using one.

If the fake suppressor can be removed/isn't pinned it isn't part of the weapon for SBR purposes.

I actually think it is or.  You can have a 10" barrel in a rifle as long as the overall length greater than 26".

Example, fake suppressor or long muzzle device pinned.

Of course.  BBL is 13".  OAL is 20".   Paperwork may or may not have included: "To defend the stargate from the Gou'uld" in the "purpose section".   That's how I ended up with this, I was bing watching Stargate (for like... 2 years - there's a LOT of content to Stargate.  Like Star-Trek ... but so very different:

I'm really happy with how this came out.  That first pic just looks freakishly awesome.  Crazy tiny.  Went through 800 rounds in one day.  That set me back $40 in ammo costs

Also, FWIW, the High-Tower stock kit comes designed to host an 18" 10/22 (which is typical factory standard for 10/22).  Hence the fake suppressor, so it looks more attractive for those who don't want to do the SBR road.   The kit is cool, but not cheap.  And of course went on sale 2 weeks after I bought mine.  (Every... Damned ... Time)

Very cool. I need to buy a 10/22 and do this. Of course it must be SBR'd.

How is the trigger?

Looks like the stock's been shortened, how much work did that take?

A decent amount.  circular saw cut off the but pad, circular saw cut short of the bulkhead, then sand down to bulkhead.  Then get the proper plastic glue to glue the buttpad back on.  The barrel has to be turned and muzzle device added.  It's a project.   And for me, TOTALLY WORTH IT.  The gun is completely bad-ass.  but it's not purchase-ready like that photo - that took some work.  A few other details you'll figure out as you.

Also, beware that thing has more screws than a KelTec.  Cleaning it is a bitch.   Which, is why I don't bother cleaning it anymore.  I almost did a WTF angry letter to highTower over that, until I saw that's exactly the same as an actual P90, which this is supposed to accurately mimic.  So, OK then.  Eventually it'll start jamming, and I'll pull it apart then.  but before doing that, scrub out the chamber good while still assembled, and often that will fix jamming.

Nice Work on making that look the part as an SBR!

With 22LR, it is nearly as powerful as 5.7x28 without the cost

Frankly, I'm not sure why FN not HK have not made 22LR replicas of these popular PDWs (PS90 and HK's MP7)  They made replicas of many of the popular center-fire guns.

If you look a little closer at the first photo, there is a tiny light/green-laser combo on the gun.  Testing that battery life now.  Turned it on 45 minutes ago, and we'll see how long the light goes.

Blows me away, I remember when weapon lights were basically this:

Weighed 1/2lb+, cost hundreds of dollars, and gave off like 20 Lumens and lasted a few 10's of minutes.

Today: that thing on the P90/22 she's holding, is $25, 350 lumens, includes a green laser, weighs 1.5 oz, and is USB recharged.

[Edit, we'll call it 2 hours, with 1 hr at full brightness, then deminishing]

Completely agree, it's a surprise.

Ditto the Steyr AUG; I'd loveeee a .22lr trainer for it.

One of my many gun ragrats was not getting the Ironwood Designs 10/22 AUG conversion:

I would love it if someone made a new, dedicated 22 bullpup that is original.

Something like this....but without the suckage.

Didn't EAA and/or Walther do one, but they were only ever in .22 magnum.  Even if they "catalogued" a .22 LR, when I ran a LGS the .22s never actually came in stock to be ordered, and our salespeople never saw them either.

I had a FDE one for a while.  Here's an old picture of a buddy shooting it at the time:

That fake suppressor is part of the package, and is just hiding the otherwise exposed standard barrel.

Walther had one in .22 but it was largely an abortion like the P22.

I think the EAA one was in 22 mag...but....EAA.  You roll the dice with them.

Alas its about a 20 year old offering, remember lusting after one circa 2003-05ish when I got my first 10/22.

Perhaps someone can revive the design now that Ironwood Designs is defunct?

No accounting for poor taste

Trigger actually is pretty good.  It's not great, but better than a factory P90 trigger still.

I'm able to run it fast enough
