thanks for all the emails/comments about my rifle pic - I just swapped out the rear with a LMT rig and the cheek weld is a little better also - I might glue a thin neoprene piece on top of the LMT stock and the cheek weld will be perfect, and will still work great with the folder.  I'll take more pics one of these days and post them.....too much going on right now to break out the camera.

That is a beautiful rifle!

Is it all USGI?

My SA M1A "Loaded" that I picked up today along with my SA GI worked over by myself, still a work in progress, waiting on front sight staking tool for Kings front blade.  Scope mount not installed yet, but sporting a Russian Kobra sight.

Shot with the family...

Reef12, Nice M1.  Scrimping on eats is allowed if it is for a good cause, and what better cause than for a USGI rifle!

Lots of nice rifles in this thread guys, these eyes appreciatre every one of them.

Stickman,
Good looking M14 clone, I bet it shoots good too!  Personally I prefer a clean walnut stocked full barreled rifle with iron sights only. (Not that there is anything wrong with Bush Rifles, SOSOM, scoped rifles, or Erector Set stocks and the like!).

My M1A is mostly USGI but is done up Supermatch style in a McMillan black fiberglass stock.  It shoots superbly, but I had to get a M1 Garand with a nice walnut stock to satify my wood cravings.

Ive gotta turn a lot of that stuff back in to CIF next month since Im headed back to Hawaii for another 3 year tour.  I may have some BDU's to spare in a few months after we get the new army uniforms.

reef12, you are correct - it's a rifle used at work, so it's good to go........sad that it's that way, but welcome to Kalifornia.

I can only claim a few of the scratches, and most are not from the rifle - more like people

What's the weight on that M14 set up?  Looks a lot like that Rem 870 you or KevinB put together...
