We were sighting in some new rifles yesterday, one of them being a American.
Mag issues were prevalent the whole session. 150 grain Winchester, Federal, and Remington all hung up. After looking at it more, it seemed like after the first round the rest would start " mushrooming " at the tip. FTF were a problem the whole time. Mag spring seemed weak, or could it be the wrong mag for .30/06 from the factory? |

I would contact Ruger and have them set it straight.

Stonger spring may lessen or prvent it. Some rifle do this worse than others. Major reason the polymer tip was invented. BC was just a great side effect. Try it with one round in the mag. Less weight less inertia. I would call Ruger |
