Would you recommend one for a hunting shotgun or is there some better options in the similar price range

I’ve read really good things about them. I believe they are built on the Benelli inertia action.

The Stoeger M3000 is a very good value that performs well above its price point. I know of many in use both as waterfowl guns (tough conditions and heavy recoiling ammo) and in 3 Gun competition (high volume shooting)

I've had mine for 5 years. I bought it for geese and ducks and it's great for those.

I have also used it for trap and sporting clays, I'm really happy with it for those.

It feeds all the ammo I have tried, plus it's easy to disassemble and clean.

I recommend it to anyone who asks.

A few of the guys I hunt geese with have Benellis and Berettas. Those are very nice, but they don't seem to have any advantage killing geese.

Full disclosure - I'm firing a few hundred rounds a year. Guys who are shooting 2000 rounds a month may need a better gun.

I have one for 3 gun, very reliable and easy to use.  I also had a 20 ga for a while, also good.

Good and reliable, but with heavier loads it kicks pretty good since it's inertia driven.

I own both the M3000 and the Beretta A300, and for not much more money I'd recommend getting the A300, much smoother shooting being gas piston.

I was looking really hard at those from all the positive reviews on the 3000. But PSA had a deal on the Beretta A300 Ultima and that's the direction I went.
I actually talked my buddy into the 3gun version of the 3000 and he's been happy with it.

Great as long as you don’t shoot it too fast or else the hammer rides the bolt and won’t fire.
