TNVC Training Team wrapped up another full Nightfighter 101 this weekend (9-10 MAR 24) at Pro Gun Vegas in Boulder City Nevada. Pro Gun remains one of our favorite places to train, with great facilities and a superb staff, we love holding classes there.

This class may have had the best weather we‘ve ever had for a Nightfighter at Pro Gun.  If you’re familiar with the Nevada high desert winds then you know.  Highs were in the low 60s and the lows were in the mid 40s, about as perfect as you can get.  With 50% illum over both days, we couldn’t have asked for better conditions to work low and no light training.

The class was our regular mix of armed professionals and average earth people, motivation was high and tons of learning occurred.  

There were practically zero equipment issues in this class as well…almost.  We had a couple loose mounts for goggles, that were caught early and remedied, and the weapons lube ghost raised its ugly head a few times.  Couple thoughts…inspect your gear before every day of training, we discuss this in the didactic portion of the class as well.  Particularly all mounting hardware that secures your sizeable investment to your head.  LUBE…peace be upon Eugene Stoner and his near perfect invention.  The AR requires a well lubed system in order to run efficiently…much like salt in a dish, if you think you have enough, ADD MORE.

This class was a joy to teach, we got tons done and exercised some new POI items that (we thought) were well received.  The most important take away is leveraging technology to gain information to make a decision to solve a problem.  Our POI provides building blocks in a sequential manner that puts it all together at the end.  Attention to detail and trusting the process is the way and the light.

Sadly we lost that training facility...one of our instructors comes from Wisconsin to Alliance Ohio to teach though, we're there twice a year.

Rev Tac in Jackson Nebraska is a new offering this Spring, but it sold out a ways back, we'll be there again Spring 2025, but it's NF 101 only at this time.
