I like it, especially for the price.  I had an Esstac belt that I gave to a friend that needed a belt.  It was fine, but the AWS seems a little bit stiffer. The inner belt is also stiff.

I’m using a Wilder 1.5” inner belt with a cute little cobra buckle.

Sizing is definitely based on pants size. I am a 34 and went with a large first, ignoring their advice. It was too big. Medium is just fine.

If you need molle, the SMU belt looks good. They have sales on those often.

Thanks everyone.

I was looking at the SMU belt…. It was around $125 with the inner belt before Christmas and I hesitated on pulling the trigger.  Hopefully they go on sale again soon.  If not, I’ll have to pay full price!

Got some time to screw around with this new QVO Secondary holster and mount everything up. As excited as I was to try QLS, I just can’t get down with it. That small 1/2” or so of additional offset just makes everything feel so unnatural. I hate it a lot. I removed the plate and fork and hard mounted it. Had to play with a lot of hardware to allow that leg strap to still pivot without the QLS plate.

Did the Blue Force Gear MTKN IFAK used to come with a black cross? Or have some of you guys covered up the neon blue?

2nd question, anyone have wolf gray pouches on a coyote belt?  Thoughts?

I can't decide what to do on my belt and PC.  The surroundings here are all gray, brown, and tan in the winter.  SE TN.  But, camo is camo...  I considered getting wolf gray and rit dying some browns on it.

My full-size BFG trauma kit came with a black tab that slides over the red cross on the lid. I don't know if their other kits are the same.

Needed to swap pistol kywis to secure 2011 mags and I got the short end of the M81 stick

It's like 95% brown. Not Esstac's fault and no reason to pout, just caught the wrong end of fabric variance

They are $20.24 off right now with code 2024. Not sure how long that’s running.

Thanks!  I ordered my belt earlier this week (because of the $20.24 deal) and it’s scheduled to be delivered today.

Feel free to message with any questions but sparknotes is that it's an excellent, thoughtful take on the medical pouch. Coyote makes quality stuff and I'd recommend the STOMP without reservation

True North MHA. It's...fine I guess. You get a ton of adjustability which is nice, but I can't say I'd buy it again. A nice to have, absolutely not necessary.

I agree.  I would just stick with the plastic Safariland myself.  I think less metal on your rig the better.

Trust me, I don't "want" a drop holster. A medium drop may do what I need though. Tried the Safariland plastic and wasn't impressed.

That’s why I went to the True North plate.  It was later that I appreciated the Safariland plastic over the True North.  YMMV

It doesn't cost an arm and a leg + I'd imagine you'll be able to re-sell it easily...I don't think it's groundbreaking or anything but give it a shot. No real risk.

Another option, if you think you need or want to modify the True North adapter; you can get a chinazon knockoff for less than 1/8" or 3/16" aluminum 6061 barstock.

That's the route I went when I adapted my Tacsol .22 Buckmark holster to QLS.

I was at the range with my dad, he asked the same thing. I told him, and he said that was stupid.

When used with a piece of paper towel it works good as a bandage.

if you have a "bleeder" you can wrap it tight to stop the flow.

As noted it's good habit to have tape available, guns or otherwise. 99% of the time it's for mundane stuff - I had a remote switch wire get nicked while snow was rolling in at the range. 30 seconds later it's good to go.

I also wrap several layers of gaffer tape around an old gift card (think credit card form factor) in case I need to secure something heavier.

Tape adds no weight or fuss and has endless uses.
