Anything that fits the rounds without bouncing around? Besides a cardboard box? (long day, edited post)

After looking, the the ones I have are 25mm much longer and no inner walls.

The big 40mm cans are quite large (are they for chained ammo?) and I haven't seen any come with anything to keep rounds from bouncing around.

I was thinking more like this... $40 for a piece of foam, ouch.

40mm foam for can.

Checking to see what others use.

The old six round bandoliers with the plastic inserts.

Works like a charm for me.

ETA: I just put those into ammo cans. Makes storage and transport easy.

What he said. A .50 cal can will fit 6 of the 3 round plastic holders perfectly. I even made a 3d printable version.

There is enough room at the top for launching blanks and other accessories.

IMHO, a large flat rate box works great

I use some precut 40mm foam in a standard .50 ammo can. Works good with one or two layers pulled out.

Nice! I considered going this route (and may still at some point).

Very nice. I use the 40MM ammo cans as well, but have cardboard shipping tubes I keep each individual round in. GROG

Sure, shoot me an email and I can send it over. Personal use only, naturally.

Not sure if Thingiverse would allow it, but I can try that too and see if they take it down.

I sent you an IM with my email.  I will only use it for personal use.  Thank you again.

There are can cannon projectiles and shot cups on Thingiverse, so they might allow it, lol.
