No qualifiers, conditions, no reasons, you can have only one. Which one?
A better than average (accuracy-wise) M107 A1 in the 20” barrel, let’s say 1 MOA capable with good ammo, versus AI AX 50 ELR at around 1/2 MOA with said good ammo. |

It's such a fun (and expensive) gun to shoot. Get a can for it and it goes super fun. |

Semi-auto wins if you can do 1 MOA. There are better cartridges for an anti-personnel bolt-action. |

I actually have a 107 and an AI-ELR. My 107 is fun to shoot, but it is more of a range toy. Great for shooting "at" things. When I want to "hit" something with a 50, I will always grab my AI. As soon as Thunderbeast releases their new 50 can, I will be able to shoot my AI very quietly more often. |

I sat at this crossroads for a while, and I pulled the trigger on a semi auto.
I have plenty of accurate bolt actions, but a reasonably accurate semi auto that slings a big bullet, always wins. |
