Couldn't refuse the offer. $250 +$19.99 hazmat and free shipping for 5,000.
Limited online info. Impulsive buy. What am I in for, any experience? |
|
|
One of the guys at the range tried them in four different pistols.
2 of them I believe were revolvers, and they would only set off about 25% of the rounds. extremely hard primers was his experience |

Yeah, mine worked. They seated a touch easier than most other SPP. Went thru the Dillon primer feed proper like too.
Sharing is caring. Post up where you got the deal. Mine came in a different box. Attached File |

I used several thousand of them this year. All went bang, everything from .32 H&R in a single six, 9MM in Glocks, springfields and CZs, .38 in revolvers and a few .40s in my CZ 75.
Only problem I’ve had is they don’t like to flip upright in a primer tray when priming, it’s more of an annoyance than a problem. |

I’ve gone through 3000 of these primers with no issues.

I bought a case of these primers a few months ago to split up with my friends.
All of us had no problems and they all went bang so now we want more. |

And my sportsman warehouse has CCI SPP for 60/k, so I’m laying those in for now. |

So ONE GUY - per hearsay of someone in this thread had a significant misfire rate.
NOBODY else had any problem at all. Whoever the misfire guy is, for sure has problems. But these primers aren’t the problem. I’ve made mistakes handloading. I can usually figure it out. |

I'm getting maybe 5% ftf in striker fired guns.
I thought maybe I wasn't seating them hard enough but after extra attention there I'm still seeing some ftfs. I'm waiting on an extra power striker spring to see if that helps. |

Anyone find the cup thickness on these primers? I couldn't find anything searching online.
If someone had a point micrometer and some spent primers it shouldn't be hard to get measurements. |
|

Normashooting also has them. If you order from norma, Create an account them put some primers in your cart. Within a day or so they will send you a email for 10% off to complete the order. Otherwise type in "welcome5" for 5% off.
Norma does not charge shipping or hazmat if you go the free shipping. I had mine in 3 days from GA to Iowa. They shipped FEDEX. Right now Astrasports has 5K of the SP for $269 shipped. That is the cheapest deal going right now. |
|
|
Good deal thanks.
I have about 4K in Ginex spp left but want to stock up while stuff is in a low price range. |
|

Currently six cents with free shipping and hazmat.
You pay tax. https://normashooting.com/product/limited-supply-new-small-pistol-primers-made-in-argentina-qty-1000/ I ordered another 5000 |

These seem to be a huge debate.
50% say they work 100% and 50% say they have a lot of trouble. I use them for open bolt sub guns so they are going to work one way or another. |

I just bought 5k. Does anyone have any idea on the shelf life of these primers? I've read about American made primers lasting decades. I'm curious about the foreign made primers. Chances are that I will not get to these for a while.

Make sure each one is seated all the way to the bottom of the primer pocket. Don't wait until you forget about it. |

Hmmm... ok. Nothing in my spam folder either. Their website says no order history.
I emailed their CS. Fingers crossed. Good to know they are at least a legit organization. |

I loaded them multiple times to hit them again and none have fired. In my AR9 and my Taurus 357 I have had NO issues. I have an old Pacific press that I can seat the primers deeper with. I am going to try that to see if they work. I think what the problem is the anvil is spaced deeper and the primer needs some crush to it to work right. And whats really weird is I can run 41 SR milspec primers in the 380 and they fire fine in the 380. |

So I shot some more of these in 9mm yesterday. 100% function in a Prodigy.
97% in a sig 365 XL, with an Mcarbo spring kit. Light hits on a few, But I bet it’s the spring kit. It does light off all factory ammo. |

I'm a hair away from disputing the charge on my CC. ETA: Astra Sports got it figured out. It was some kind of glitch in their system but they found the 5k primer order. They are even throwing in another 1000 primers because of the mixup! Great CS. |

All of my guns (Glocks, Sigs, Cz's, S&W revolvers ) would touch them off 100% of the time. My buddy with a M&P and an Apex trigger and spring kit would have a 10% failure rate. When I ran a batch of ammo changing the primers to Winchester primers, his gun was 100% reliable. I guess the Russian primers were just a tad harder, and his modified gun just didn't quite like them. I've started loading a batch of 9mm with the s.y.a. primers, and hopefully within a few weeks I'll be able to provide a decent range report. I have a G34, G17, CZ-75, P-320, P-365, 9mm 1911, and a 92FS that I'll test in. I'll pass some on to my buddy with the M&P and see if it acts up again. |

People say "% didn't go off" but you never know if the primers were seated to the bottom of the primer pocket. View Quote You also never know how many of those revolvers had trigger work done. |
