I'm an older shooter and I am getting back into Service Rifle shooting after 25 years hiatus. I bought a kneeling roll used on line and have never used one before.

What do you folks use to stuff the kneeling roll? How dense should the stuffing be?

Thanks in advance.

Polystyrene pellets or airsoft pellets work well and don't soak up moisture.

What he said. Some people use foam but you lose a lot of consistency and support.

Am surprised it didn't some with fill already, actually.

Thank you!

Updated: Got 4 bags of 5000 airsoft pellets. 3 bags seems about right in the Gehman suede kneeling roll. There's a guy in Canada that's selling the nice Gehman rolls on eBay. I guess US dollars are pretty strong these days (Go Trump!) so the cost was really reasonable for what looks like a really high quality roll.

Thanks for the suggestions...you guys rock!

I have used crumpled up Walmart plastic grocery bags to "finish" my 3-p kneeling roll.

Cheap,
Easy, and
Light.

probably not the best to fill the whole thing with, but works well for that last little bit.

What's the connection between a kneeling roll and Service Rifle?

Actually choosing kneeling over sitting?

I prefer Kneeling. It seems to provide a more consistent platform for me. Strictly a personal choice.

You deliberated over that answer for 16 months. I hope he appreciates it.
