Any easy ideas of mounting and unmounting the wire rope to my own pepper poppers so I can don't have to drag the rope all over the range when I don't have to

At my club our cables are 10’ long with a loop at one end a 2’ of light chain on the other all snap linked together and rolled up on an extension cord reel.  The chain allows for easy adjustment to set tension for the activators, you just have to get cable setup close and then use the chain to fine tune the setup.
During tear down, I snap link all the cables together and roll the up

Can you send me some pics?  How do you attach the chain to the popper for easy on and off?

Sorry no pic, our range is off limits while they clean up Lahaina
To attach the chain our big poppers have a hole that we run a eye bolt and use the snap link to attach
The other popper without holes, we use a small C clamp

You should check them after every few shooters to check if the came loose
